I’m so excited because we finally got our Sarah Fitz prints framed for our bedroom. Jake had gotten me the tote bag print with the “D” on it for Valentines Day (I have been wanting it forever) and I immediately made sure to snag the Bean Boot print while I could to go with it. Unfortunately, shortly after Valentine’s day, my life got super busy and the pandemic occurred so I wasn’t able to frame them until recently. We got the frames from a custom local frame shop and Jake’s Mom helped us put them together (saved us some serious $$ and so nice of her!!) I have adored Sarah Fitz for years – I am even needle pointing her striped shirt print at the moment! I highly recommend checking out her prints, she truly has so many gorgeous pieces.
I feel like the bedroom is finally coming together! The prints look great above the bed. Our quilt and pillow shams are from Serena and Lily…they were a gift from my parents and I will honestly keep them forever! I knew I wanted my sheets to be a light denim blue, and I was lucky enough to snag these sheets at Macy’s! I love the contrast between the two blues. I’m a quilt person, I feel like it’s comfortable all year round and more manageable than a duvet. I also like to keep this blue and white fleece blanket at the end of the bed. I love that the blue matches the quilt but that it has a contrasting pattern! As for the bed frame, Jake and I found this bed on sale at L.L. Bean about six months before we moved in together (thank you Mom and Dad for letting me store it in the basement…) Sadly, it is sold out, but this one and this one are so so similar!
The nightstands and lamps came a bit later! I particularly love these two nightstands because they have so much storage. I knew, being in an apartment, that we would both really need that. However, I think the handles are what make it because wrought iron matches the bed perfectly! As for the lamps, I knew I wanted white with a pop of gold. The gold base on these lamps was the perfect amount!
I love slowly working on the apartment! So far this part of the bedroom is exactly what I wanted.
Should I share more apartment updates? 🙂
