For those of you who don’t know, I am currently working towards my masters in Elementary Education. This past semester, I chose to take five graduate classes while working full time. I mainly chose to do this in order to complete my student teaching next Fall. This semester has been a serious challenge, but I’m literally so glad I did it. I’m still waiting for some grades to come in but, so far, I’ve maintained by 4.0, which I’m feeling really proud of. Most of this semester, I did homework through my lunch breaks and stayed up way later than I ever really wanted to. When you tack on traveling back and forth to the city to see Jake, you’ve got an insanely busy Fall semester. With everything that’s been going on, I somehow completed most of my Christmas shopping. It can be overwhelming, feeling like the holidays are coming quicker than ever. I know a lot of you are totally feeling the same way! I seriously would have had so much more trouble shopping this Christmas season if I didn’t have Ebates as my go-tool cashback tool.
When it comes to shopping, especially with graduate school going on, I really try to look for the best sales. This year I really utilized Cyber Monday, and was able to find some really great stuff for my family and Jake. But, honestly, I wouldn’t have done nearly as well if it weren’t for Ebates. After all the shopping I did this Christmas, I already have $75.00 in cashback. For those of you who don’t use Ebates, it’s a cashback website that allows you to shop at your favorite stores (Except Nordstrom *cough cough* come on Nordstrom get on Ebates!) For those of you suspicious, I’ve been getting checks from Ebates for over a year now, and I promise it’s both real and safe. The stores that are in partnership with Ebates pay Ebates a commission for sending the customer their way, and Ebates give you a small piece of that commission for buying through them. It’s really a win-win! I’ve even installed Ebates into my browser so I never forget to go through Ebates for my favorite stores.
Some of my favorites on Ebates are:
- J.Crew
- L.L. Bean
- Macy’s
- Northface
- Etsy (YES ETSY!)
- Paper Source
- Ebags (omg so many nice things at Ebags, I had no idea!!)
- Amazon
- New York and Company
Ebates even offers double cashback deals, and deals of the day! I always find myself checking the “Big Deal” of the day – they have everything, from expensive make-up to cozy fleeces, where you’ll receive 30% cashback on a single item. I just open the App, click the bell icon in the top right hand corner, and scroll down to the “Big Deal.” It’s usually a go-to during my lunch break. 🙂
Ebates also has the refer and earn system! If you use this link, you’ll receive $10 dollars automatically for joining Ebates. (All things out in the open, I will receive money as well for you using this link! Win-win for everyone!) Ebates isn’t just good for the holidays, but it’s great for shopping all year round. If you have any last minute ordering to do, make sure you sign up with the link, and head over to Ebates!
Also, if you’re looking for the perfect winter coat (especially for city life), definitely snag the North Face Parka I am wearing while out and about with Jake in the city. Mine is from about four years ago, and this is the new version. The coat still feels like it did when I got it – I am obsessed! It is all I wear all winter long. I’m also wearing L.L Bean Gortex Bean Boots, a New England Staple, as well as a J.Crew Factory Scarf from a couple years ago. Although they don’t have this one, I am loving this one right now in the Navy/Ivory/Green at J.Crew.
