Until this past January, I didn’t even wear glasses at all. (If you haven’t already read the story of how that came to be, check out this post.) Prior to that, I usually had an array of cheap sunglasses, that typically ended up at the bottom of my purse, broken in some shape or form. I also always forgot to bring my sunglasses when it mattered most – driving, the beach, walking around New York…you get what I’m saying. It wasn’t something that was overly important to me, and I never felt that investing in a pair was necessary.
However, I recently made the trip to Lenscrafters to get myself a third pair of glasses – I already have my everyday pair, as well as a pair for reading. Once again, I tried on every pair of glasses I could find, and I ended up with this Coach pair in the brown/tan. Honestly, I went in thinking I was going to go for a completely different look, like this Ray-Ban pair, but ended up feeling like I wanted a bigger lens – and I am so happy with my choice!! (Btw: Still love my Ray Ban glasses for daily use!)
I just found I was feeling uncomfortable driving around without sunglasses. It wasn’t something I realized was even bothering me too much until my mom mentioned how much she loved her’s. “It’s literally life changing” she said. She was right!! Even though I’m always changing what glasses I’m wearing, it’s so worth it to feel like I’m taking care of my vision and minimizing any headache situations. Plus, they’re cute and, obviously, that’s important to me!
I tested out the sunglasses by walking around East Harlem with Jake this past weekend, and it really finally felt like summer in New York! Honestly, I probably should have been wearing shorts! However, I am regularly wearing these J. Crew Factory Jeans, they are just too comfy and so affordable. I opted for my favorite brown loafers by Sperry – I never even had to break them in, and they are truly like walking on a cloud. Although, FYI, had to go a half size up – they do run a bit small! Also, this J. Crew Factory Pineapple T-shirt is less than $20 right now – and it’s so comfy and cute! I’m wearing a size medium here.
Anyone else obsessed with their prescription sunglasses?
