If you’ve been reading the blog over the past few Valentine’s Day celebrations, you know I’m pretty into the holiday. I think it’s a great way to celebrate love – whether it’s you and your partner or you and your friends! This post? All about you and your friends. This holiday is the perfect excuse to throw a themed Galentine’s Day party – especially with it being on a Friday this year! I’ve teamed with Basic Invite and found the absolute perfect save the date cards that will help you get started on that cupid themed get-together.
To start – how cute is? It’s one of the save the date cards by Basic Invite! I’m obsessed with the pizza with the little heart pepperonis and honestly can’t tell you how long I was playing with the design features. I was changing the color of each specific part of the card – the font, the background, the BORDER OF THE PIZZA. They give you the tools to start with something perfect and then curate it with your own touches. There are unlimited color combinations. You can also change the border of the physical save the date cards – I opted for rounded corners. I even used this tool to create my own custom stationery – complete with a pink border (duh) and my name on the bottom!
Also, for a Galentine night, throwing a pizza party is (for starters) fairly inexpensive! Making this the perfect Galentine choice from their save the date cards. It’s probably the easier food to get for a large group of people and, generally, people love it! Add some Valentine decor, and a couple of rom coms, and you’re good to go for your Galentine’s gathering. I mean, how perfect right?
How “me” is this stationery?
HOWEVER, if you’re looking for something to put a photo of you and your friends on, I’m a big fan of the postcard save the dates. These aren’t just for weddings (but if you’re in the market – Basic Invite does free wedding websites too! Amazing.) – like I said, you curate the postcard to exactly what you need. Basic Invite even mails them for you. Honestly, it doesn’t get any easier than that! You all know I’m a big fan of paper invitations (beats a Facebook invite any day!) – it makes the night to come so much more exciting!
Bow is J.Crew – however this one at Madewell is closer to the original! Shoes are my new favorite Rothy’s! Turtle neck is old J.Crew – here’s the updated version. and sweater is a new favorite from Gap – loving the short buttoned cardigan look! Pillow is linked here – such a great find! Perfect leather chair linked here.
Even cuter? On Basic Invite, you can make save the date magnets. Honestly, when people get married, I love when they do this. It’s such an easy way to remember the date by sticking it on your fridge – why not do the same for your Galentine’s group of girls? I think it’s a sweet momento – something to really remember the night by. Add a photo of you and your best girlfriends to the magnet and voilà! Adorable on the fridge and the cutest invite ever. When I think of a Galentine’s night, I think face masks, pizza, and long chats with friends. Getting save the date magnets would be such a fun way to get excited about the party to come!
How will you design your Galentine save the dates?
