Now, you might be wondering why I didn’t write this sooner. There’s a few reasons…the first being, I don’t have a Nordstrom Credit Card, so I don’t get early access to the sale. That alone can really limit what is still available once public access to the sale begins. Second, I’m not a “big time” blogger, so that also means I not only don’t have early access, but I also don’t really have the ability right now to buy a haul of clothes to test out for you guys. I would love love love love to, but I’m also not really in the position to. Plus, when it comes to my own wardrobe and my love for shopping, I really do love to buy quality over quantity. Essentially, the majority of the time I spend shopping I really try to buy the classics that will really last me.
Not to mention, some bloggers end up buying a ton of clothes and then the items end up running out by the time their readers get public access to the sale. Third, this was the first year where I saw a lot of controversy on bloggers making extensive posts/stories these last few weeks exclusively ~all about~ the sale. I think some readers feel a bit of pressure to take advantage of it even when they’re not in a position to purchase a ton of clothes for themselves. Being in a similar position myself, I totally understand! However, I’m a window shopper at heart. I have only bought one thing from the sale and, surprisingly, it wasn’t even a clothing item.
So, I scoured what was left of the sale on my own to let you know about the top five products I love that I already know are tried and true. Stuff that I feel is totally worth the money – plus, it’s a good time to buy it with the prices being so low. Additionally, all of these items are (as of now…) still in stock! SO, if you really want it, grab it while you can.
This Kiehl’s Day-to-Night duo is the only purchase I made for myself from the sale. That’s because the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is my daily moisturizer – it’s perfect for my sensitive skin and I’m extremely loyal to it! One small container of it from Sephora is $30, and this set is $32 with the additional Midnight Recovery Facial Oil that I’ve been wanting to try. Plus, you get the Sephora Women’s (or Men’s) set of five free beauty samples. So, really, it’s a steal. Plus, I had $10 in Nordy Points, so I got the whole thing for $24! If you aren’t part of Nordstrom’s point system yet, I definitely recommend signing up. You may not get all the perks of the credit card, but your points start to add up over time which will give you serious savings!
I have two Patagonia pullovers/zip up fleeces (Jake loves them as well!) and I’m a huge fan of fuzz. I adore this Patagonia Los Gatos Fleece Jacket. The khaki teddy bear look is my favorite…retail price, this zip up would be $129 but it is only $89 with free shipping with the sale. Although I don’t have this exact one (but I want it…) I can attest that both Jake and I have had no trouble with our Patagonia’s holding up over the course of multiple seasons. I’m honestly so looking forward to wearing them more often again come Fall!
If you’ve always wanted a tall hunter boot, now is the time to do it! Hunter boots are a staple for rainy weather, and this black is the perfect neutral for everyone. Normally, tall Hunter’s are about $150 but these are only $99 with free shipping! I am honestly still surprised there are sizes still in stock, so I would snag it while you can. However, because I’m so short, I actually prefer the shorter boot, which is on sale for $89. Perfect for both spring and winter! Plus, who doesn’t love that classic Hunter logo?
If I were looking to spend some extra money, these Madewell Brenner Boots would be my #1 pick of the sale. I think I’ve tried these on two or three times in store, and I’ve been eyeing them about a year. They’re definitely my next *pick* for a black boot (I just love the brown heel…) but I also definitely am more in the market for a brown boot replacement. (Mine are BEAT.) I love Madewell for leather shoes, and these are currently $139 with free shipping at the Nordstrom Sale. (Normally $210) Can someone get them so I can watch you open them?
Victor&Rolf FLowerbomb Perfume is my absolute favorite scent. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but each bottle I have purchased has lasted me a very long time. I try not to wear it every day because I definitely can’t afford to go through the bottle as quickly as I want to, so this set is 100% worth the money with the amount of perfume you get. Normally, all of this would be $228 but, with the sale, it’s $140 with free shipping. I’ve never found a better perfume for myself and I could not recommend it more!
Did you find something great in this year’s sale?
