As part of Jake’s Valentine’s gift, I got him these blue New Balance sneakers. They’re perfect for our walks around the city, and he’s been wearing them every day since. When I’m scoping out products online, I don’t always just check out what I want, but what I want for Jake…. (please tell me other people do this, I can’t help it, I like clothes and sometimes I can’t just buy things for me…..)
*Jake’s New Balance sneaker’s pictured in the link can be found here – I almost bought the Burgundy color!*
SO, here’s a compiled list of what I’m eyeing for Jake, and all guys, this Spring.
- To me, there is nothing better than a guy in a nice pair of khaki chinos. But like, the casual ones. There’s fancy khaki and then there’s significantly less fancy khaki, and I’m so 100% behind these J. Crew ones with some stretch. You can wear everything from a nice button down to a hoodie, and they come in four staple colors, including a very handsome hudson navy. But khaki is always a #1 for me. ($68)
2. Rugby shirts are always perfect for those chillier nights by the bon fire, and I’m really loving the combination of blues in this one. Personally, I own one of the L.L. Bean Men’s rugby shirts for myself, and I wear it all year round. This is a great addition to any collection, and the quality is meant to last. ($49.95)
3. You know me, I’m always for the classics. These Sperry’s found on Zappos are the perfect Sperry for when you need a little extra support. Jake and I both wear our Sperry boat shoes all summer long, and I really recommend investing in a pair. They break in really well and, if Jake didn’t just buy a new pair last summer, I would definitely be bugging him to get these ones. ($110)
4. So, Jake has this Patagonia in a Long Sleeved shirt. I know the design is super simple, but I find the back really eye catching and honestly it’s perfect for the beach. Patagonia always has great Men’s T-shirt designs and, if you can find them on sale, it’s always nice to grab a few. Let’s be real, $35 is a bit much to spend on a T-shirt that is *mostly* white. But hey, every once and a while you can find them cheaper, so keep your eye out for it! The design pictured here is on the back of the shirt, and the one below is the front. ($35)
5. Okay I’m starting this off by saying I’m a h u g e fan of the J. Crew swim line for women. The material is well made and the suits always last me a really long time. Although Jake hasn’t invested in a pair of their swim trunks yet, I’m definitely going to push for it after seeing these. ($69.50)
6. Ugh I cannot get enough of these. They’re all over my little corner of Instagram right now, and I can’t tell you how badly I want to snag a KJP NewPort Adventurer Watch. They are quite literally *timeless* and dare-I-say a must have? Can’t say it enough but I want-want-want. ($198)
7. This is another one I’m going to push for – but I am loving these blueberry colored (yes, blueberry) slip on Vans. The sailor like color of the cotton canvas top looks ideal for walking around in warm weather. Plus, Vans are a classic for all closets. ($60)
8. A short sleeve polo shirt looks perfect with a pair of khaki shorts and the Sperrys above – but L.L. Bean Polo shirts are long-lasting and high quality, for a really great price. If you’re looking for a new polo for some of those preppier events of the season, for sure snag this one. ($29.95)
9. Okay, come on now, GIGHAM SWIM TRUNKS. If you know me, this speaks to me, and must be added to this wish list. No questions about it, this is the preppiest of preppy and I’m loving it. Obviously, a needed Ralph Lauren find. ($75)
10. Last, but not least, I’m always a fan of a chambray shirt. This J. Crew one is a light shade of blue, and is something that can be worn all through the season. It’s casual but such a good look. I am honestly loving this piece! Lots of shopping to do….($69.50)
